TDS ECO – Renewal & Strengthening of the Urban Taxi Fleet

Project Information
TDS ECO is a green urban mobility project developed by WADI and TDS ECO SARL, aimed at modernizing Senegal's taxi fleet through the deployment of 4,100 plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) by 2030. The project uses BYD Qin Plus DM-i vehicles and is supported by a tripartite financing mechanism (Bank – FDTT – TAXITER Cooperative) over 48 months. It integrates the ILA ride-hailing application for fleet management, digital payments, and driver productivity. The project aligns with Senegal's Vision 2050 and NDC II targets, and is expected to avoid 26,000–37,000 tCO₂e per year while creating approximately 4,500 direct and indirect jobs.
